Keep the board clear and use your opponents creatures to feed Elenda into commander damage wins or sac her for the swarm. So I went orzhov control/voltron with my Elenda deck. You’ll need a sac outlet, sac fodder AND sac payoff like card draw or mana. She’s payoff for aristocrats, but you’ll need to have the whole engine set up before she gets onto the field and that’s hard even with the right deck build. Easy peasy.Įlenda is tricky because she’s so flexible. Pump out as many tokens as you can and make them huge and flood the board. Edgar wants non token low cmc vampires plus things like ] or ]. Imo elenda is better as I’ve had more success with her.Īlrighty. ![]() I highly recommend elenda if you want to go aristocrats and go with Edgar if you want vampire tribal/aggro. ![]() Aristocrats is a great strategy as you can sacrifice creature at instant speed in response to other game actions. I consistently get her over 21 power every game and I’ve gotten her over 100 power once. I’ve won with commander damage, life drain, going wide with combat and even mill via altar of dementia and a huge elenda. Sac her to make an army and use those bodies for ramp or draw. You can use her to turn your opponents resources into your own when you play edicts and wipes that let her survive. Unlike Edgar, she thrives off boardwipes and is super resilient. I’ve played many token decks in the past and elenda makes more tokens than any other deck I’ve played. I built elenda as an aristocrats deck and tbh she is so underrated and way more powerful than most ppl realize. He’s best played with low cmc creatures but he gets some hate due to his reputation and can be hit hard from boardwipes. Edgar is fun if you want to go vampire tribal and have a strong theme.
